The fear we don't talk about

There’s a kind of fear we don’t talk about much. Because it doesn’t feel like fear. There’s a kind of fear we don’t talk about much.

Because it doesn’t feel like fear.

Sometimes it doesn’t feel like anything.

  • It’s the times we waste finding the perfect idea.
  • It’s when we are afraid we’ll miss our chance.
  • It’s when we protect against every risk.
  • And when we overanalyze.

For many of these instances, it’s not fear of rejection.

Or disapproval.

It’s fear of missing our shot at greatness.

And that’s why it’s tricky.

Because we’re still motivated.

And we’re still moving.

But it’s like we’re on a stationary bike.

We get tired.

And go nowhere.

We look at someone like this, and we don’t see someone scared.

They look like everyone else.

No. They look like the best of us.

Except they’re dying inside.

Because they’re grasping too hard.

And squeezing the life out of every chance they have.

Instead of having fun, taking some risks, and enjoying the ride.

And letting the chips fall where they may.
